August is Back to School Month on Life by Lexi!

August is back to school month on Life by Lexi!

FRIENDS! August is here. We can’t ignore it anymore…school is rapidly approaching. Soon we’ll be back on campus, walking to class, studying, taking exams…but we’ll also be back with our friends, so that’s one positive! Lol.

I’ve already started dealing with school stuff this summer. I’ve ordered my textbooks, (only spent $30 on all of them! I’ll be writing a post about how I saved money on books, so stay tuned for that) started shopping for some new clothes for back to school, and today I’ve been dealing with the mess that is on-campus parking (if you go to a large university, you’ll feel me on this one).

My point is, August is the month of back to school for many of us, and so I decided to dedicate the whole month to school-related posts! I already have lots of ideas floating around my head, and I can’t wait to share them with you!

Some topics I plan on covering are:

  • How to save on textbooks
  • sweat-proof, long-lasting makeup for busy class days
  • How I stay organized and how I balance school with other responsibilities
  • Comfy back to school outfit ideas

And many more! I can’t wait to share all the posts I already have planned. Be sure to check in throughout the month to get advice on everything back to school related!

Update

I don’t want this post to be super short, so I guess I’ll give you a little update about what is going on this school year.

First….I’M GRADUATING! The 2017-2018 school year is my last one as an undergraduate. I am debating going to grad school at some point, but I definitely want to work for a couple of years before I go back. This means I’m going to have to get a real job. AH!!!

This is both exciting and terrifying. A year from now, I have no idea where I will be living or what I’ll be doing. This is really exciting to me because I love all the possibilities, but it also stresses me out, lol. I’m still not 100% sure what type of career I want to have in life, so I am hoping that these next couple of years will really help to answer that question.

Another update would be that I am turning 21 in September! I’m excited because I feel like 21 is when you officially become an adult. Technically that happens when you’re 18, but how much of an adult can you really be if you can’t even order a glass of wine with dinner?

What is happening in your lives this school year? Let me know! I would also love to hear about what you would like to see on the topic of back to school, so reach out if you have any suggestions. Happy studying!
